Dan Nichols and E18hteen just released The Roots. It is a spectacular album that I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys a Jewish rock music. It has soul, great melodies and thoughtful lyrics. To order or listen to samples of the tracks, go to www.jewishrock.com.

Hey thanks doing a post on this band. I had never heard of them before but after checking out a few of their tracks I think I might get the CD.
Dan is a great songwriter and amazing performer. He frequently does artist-in-residence gigs at synagogues which are very moving. He's a former camper and good friend of my rabbi, so we have him come to my temple every year. On top of doing great music, he's just a super nice guy and and goes out of his way to help people connect to the music and to Judaism.
Cool!
